Player Protection

Player Information
The Commission’s primary responsibility is to protect players who choose to engage in online gaming provided by the Commission’s permit holders. To ensure this protection, the Commission employs various measures to guarantee that:
  • Interactive gaming is conducted responsibly, fairly, and honestly;
  • Operators of interactive games treat players fairly, promptly pay winners, and maintain the strict confidentiality of player account information.
Additionally, the Commission’s Regulations concerning Interactive Gaming include safeguards for individuals under the age of eighteen (18) and those vulnerable to the risks associated with gaming. For example, the Regulations specify that:
  • Gaming sites must offer mechanisms that allow players to limit their play, including the option to set the limit to zero;
  • The relationship between operators, gaming sites, and players must be contractual, with no unfair or unreasonable terms;
  • Gaming sites must implement adequate measures to protect the confidentiality of player information; and
  • Rules of play must be clearly displayed in English and any other relevant language.
The Regulations also include dispute resolution mechanisms to address player complaints. To ensure that all complaints are handled promptly, the Commission has a full-time Dispute Resolution Officer on staff.
When submitting a complaint, please note that it will hinder our ability to assist you if:
  • The complaint has already been addressed previously;
  • The complaint is being handled by another primary jurisdiction or recognized organization;
  • The complaint has already been ruled upon by another jurisdiction or organization;
  • The complaint has been publicly discussed on any forum;
  • The complaint has been shared with the media.
In such cases, we reserve the right to discontinue our investigation and invalidate your complaint.

Player Limitations and Exclusions
The Capilano Homulchusun Nation Gaming Commission is dedicated to ensuring the protection of players who engage with interactive gaming sites licensed by the Commission.
Limiting Your Play
If you wish to limit your play and/or deposit amounts for budgeting or other reasons, including setting limits to zero, you must contact the administration of the interactive gaming site directly to arrange this. If the site allows you to exceed these limits, please notify the Commission immediately so that corrective action can be taken.
Excluding Yourself
If you recognize that your gaming activities have become problematic and wish to permanently exclude yourself from further participation, you may submit a Comprehensive Self-Exclusion Request form. This form must include the required personal information and a government-issued ID. Please read the form carefully before submitting. Once the request is verified, the Commission will ensure your permanent exclusion from all interactive gaming sites licensed and regulated by the Commission. Once the self-exclusion is effective, it is PERMANENT AND IRREVOCABLE.
Once your self-exclusion takes effect, you are prohibited from accessing, opening accounts, depositing or withdrawing funds, or playing on any interactive gaming site licensed by the Commission. If you violate this prohibition, any funds you deposit or win will be forfeited to a third-party charity selected by the Commission.
If you have any questions or need further information about the Commission’s player exclusion processes, please contact us at: [email protected]
NOTE: While the Commission will make every effort to process any Comprehensive Self-Exclusion Request as quickly as possible, neither the Commission nor its members, employees, advisors, agents, or governing body are liable for any damages or losses sustained by the player or associated persons as a result of the player’s gambling activities, either before or after the effective date of the self-exclusion.
